– Eneas Energy was established in 1995- The current CEO was one of 3 founders. They started the service in Energy Audit. The background was the knowledge that a number of companies with large energy consumption had entered into unfavorable contracts with energy suppliers and also was wrongly charged in the wake of complex new regulations.
– Joint Metering was added on to the product portfolio in 1998.
– Knowledge about the market grew with the demand for new services. Energy saving was a natural next step for many of the clients. The first EPC-project (Energy Performance Contract) was with Aker Solutions, and it took place in 1998. The Energy Audit service was introduced in the Swedish market in 1999 with great success.
– The company Neras Direkte AS was established for mass market sales in 1999 in order to reach more potential clients as the market share grew.
– Statoil acquired 50% of the company, and the Eneas Group started to focus an even bigger clients. The the call-center (Neras Direkte AB) was established in Östersund around the same time to get the same sales capacity in the Swedish market.
– A new main office was established in Sweden, with a strong focus on the EPC market as a response to the fast growing EPC market among public clients.
– Building Automation is key to energy saving and in order to strengthen enhance competence Eneas Energy acquired Intent AS – specialist within the field of system integration.
– The menu of energy services would not be complete without the ability to help clients save on their energy purchases. To complete the service offering PowerTrade and Pooled Purchasing was established soon thereafter. Eneas Energy also acquired the Energy Brokerage Company NI Norden in 2008 to strengthen the business unit. Similar services was also introduced to in Germany the following year after acquiring Nord Energie (GER).
– Eneas Energy also acquired EnergiCompagniet (NO) to strengthen the Energy Efficiency and Consulting business unit.
